What does the black racist see?
Now that Barack Obama has been selected by the Democratic Party to be its presidential nominee what does the black racist see? Do the facts really matter, or is their vision tainted and impaired through the prism of pain, hatred, denial, or self-deception? Racism is defined as hostile or oppressive behaviour towards people because they belong to a different race. The pain that Blacks harbor is borne of oppression, but now that the glass ceiling as been severely cracked with Barack’s nomination and would shatter if he were elected, how do you feel? Tavis Smiley on a radio program this week intimated that racism is no longer restrictive on the Black Community and that the country has broken through the paralysis that results from racism. Whether you agree with that assertion or not what do you conclude from the following facts?
1. fact: Barack Obama, a black man, an African-American is the Democratic Presidential Nominee.
black racist: He is a token Negro who will not have any real power.
2. fact: Barack Obama is a black man.
black racist: He is half-black and he really isn’t black enough. Where has he been during the struggle?
3. fact: Barack Obama won Iowa which has 2.5% Black people, therefore Barack Obama needed a lot of white people to vote for him.
black racist: He is one of them, so they were not voting for a black man. If he were darker he would not have won at all.
4. fact: Barack Obama won states with a lot of white folks and not a lot of black folks.
black racist: He is not an authentic brother. He is a phony and they love a phony who would be a pawn.
5. fact: Barack Obama selected Joe Biden as his running mate to shore up his foreign policy credentials.
black racist: You see the white man will be the power behind the throne. Barack will be an empty suit and whitey will not give up his power.
6. fact: Barack has thousand of white volunteers and supporters working behind the scenes in anonymity to assist him in his election efforts.
black racist: The whites that like him only like him because he is a rock star and more like them than most brothers. He doesn’t talk like us nor walk like us, nor act like us, nor look like us.
7. fact: Barack Obama spoke at large rallies overseas to adoring crowds. He has an even larger following here in the United States.
black racist: Barack is being set up and he doesn’t even know it. His ignorance will destroy him.
8. fact: There are some black voters that are going to vote for John McCain.
black racist: They are a bunch of uncle toms and sell-outs. I would only vote for a brother.
9. fact: If Barack Obama wins it would in part be a realization of Martin Luther King’s dream.
black racist: I would only vote for a black man
As you can see there are some strong feelings out there. I will have more parodies like this in the future. Does the black racist have any valid points or his he or she locked in a time warp as the world moves forward?
Where is Jesse Jackson
Jesse has been converted and repeats the mantra of change we can believe in. After all of the controversy surrounding Jesse and Barack would it be unconscionable to give Jesse a prominent speaking role at the Democratic Convention? If Barack could forgive the Clintons and give both of them prime time slots why not give the man who helped paved the way for Barack a last hooray? Jesse is a historic black figure who changed the way primary votes correlated to delegates in the democratic party. Without this change, the Democrats would have crowned Hillary Clinton tonight. So I ask again, should Barack have invited Jesse to speak?
Celebration ongoing, nightmare unfolding
Article:US, Russia anchor military ships in Georgian ports
The US and Russia have ships anchored in Georgia ports. We sent a Coast Guard cutter which is a symbolic gesture and represents no major threat to Russia. The intent is to deliver the message gently that the US will not stand idly by while Russia redraws boundary lines. A war may not be imminent but hostilities are rising and a cold war looms.
Did Bill deliver for Barack Obama?
Did Bill Clinton give the resounding and unequivocal endorsement Barack Obama needed? What say ye?
For crying out loud? What is her problem?
After Hillary Clinton spoke last night at the Democratic Convention, one of her ardent supporters wept uncontrollably and indicated she may not vote at all. Is she a drama queen, is she crazy, or is she on point? You tell me.
Hillary and Barack winners last night
Barack needs Hillary’s help in uniting the party. She delivered her part last night. Whether you agree with either of them or not any objective analysis would have to conclude she was a team player last night. Her supporters needed to hear her definitively say Barack was her choice and should absolutely be their choice as well. She invested her being in that speech and again spoke as eloquently as I have ever heard her speak. The pundits are now saying was it enough? She helped Barack Obama last night. My question is who will her husband shine the spotlight on himself, her, or Barack Obama? Some of Mrs. Clinton’s supporters are not convinced Barack should be the one.

Bill Clinton: What did he mean?
Here is a man that knows what it takes to be President. His remarks last night raised a few eye brows. He said, “who do you vote for, someone who agrees with everything you say, but can deliver nothing, or the candidate who agrees with you half the time but can deliver.” Was this a thinly veiled slight against Barack Obama? His wife gave a great speech last night and close confidants of Bill Clinton is reportedly going to give his speech dutifully. They are saying he is doing this not necessarily enthusiastically but dutifully. What do you think is going on? Is his heart in it for Barack Obama?
Is Barack safe at his convention?
There was an arrest last night of men plotting to kill Barack Obama. Every president and presidential candidates receives death threats. The fact that Barack Obama is giving his acceptance speech in an open stadium, makes him more susceptible to fringe elements of our society.
The sad fact is this radical behavior and logic is prevalent in our society. Is it me or was this story quickly buried. Should it be reported prominently or should it quickly die?
Clinton Supporters: What are they saying and thinking?
One of the chief architects of President Bill Clinton two presidential campaigns, has been the not so subtle attacker of Obama at the Democratic convention. Not to be overly analytical and cynical, you have to wonder why would someone from the Clinton Power Circle hit Obama publicly on the first night of the convention? James Carville who is loyal to the Clintons, immediately argued on CNN and other outlets yesterday and today, the morning after, that Barack Obama wasted the first night of the convention. I still believe he has been sent out by the Clintons to signal to Mrs. ’ supporters that she is not happy and would be okay if they did not give Barack Obama 100 percent support.
Carville also has repeatedly said that Barack Obama has to win over the Clinton supporters and that their vote is not easily garnered. Why would he do that if not to say to Barack Obama you need us, the Clintons, and to date you don’t have us? I know what I think, but what do you think?
Michelle Obama: Hits a Home Run
No matter who you are, democrat or republican, you would have to conclude that Mrs. Obama delivered a very emotional and persuasive speech to kick off the democratic convention. She was nothing less than spectacular. Whether she wins over blue collar voters or not you could not help but conclude she loves her husband, she cherishes her children, and she is a believer in helping people. Politics has its place but tonight it was about getting to know a little about the Obama family history, their perspective, and their core values are. You have to concede she was superb in fact she may be a better speaker than Barack. What did you think of her?
